Child and Adolescent Health

Department of Pediatrics

Pediatricians in the Division of Child and Adolescent Health at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seek to improve the lives of children and families in South Florida and beyond by providing excellent clinical care, conducting research, teaching medical students and residents, and serving as advocates for children. Our practice offers exceptional health care services for children from newborns to young adults (age 25).

As part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, we are the only practice of its kind in South Florida. Our faculty members are among the world’s experts in fields such as Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine, Adolescent Medicine, and more. In fact, the Miller School of Medicine has more child health professionals named to the Best Doctors in America list than any other pediatric health network in Florida.

When a pediatric specialist is needed, as part of the comprehensive healthcare services network, UHealth Pediatrics is able to provide patients and their families with access to our colleagues in a variety of pediatric specialties such as cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology and hematology/oncology. We work as a team that includes patients, families, pediatricians, and specialists to put together a treatment plan, allowing for the best possible outcome.

In addition, our pediatric faculty members are advocates for child health in the community by serving on the Governor’s Advisory Committees, lobbying state government on issues surrounding child health, and working on national American Academy of Pediatrics committees.

Our pediatricians are involved in cutting edge research that leads the way to the newest and best approaches to the care of children.
