Welcome to the Miller School – where we are fostering the next generation of leaders in orthpaedic surgery.

Our team has developed one of the most robust and comprehensive learning opportunities in orthopaedics – all in one of the most bustling and diverse cities in the United States. This is possible thanks to our nationally-recognized faculty and their unsurpassed dedication to teaching and patient care. And all of this is available on one main medical campus in downtown Miami.

Our Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is committed to a healthy learning environment and this is best achieved through the recruitment of a diverse faculty and resident group.

Our program is known for its superior camaraderie amongst residents, fellows, and faculty. This provides residents with extraordinary learning opportunities, leadership roles, mentorship, and a rewarding personal life.

As leaders in resident education and innovation, we are constantly updating our educational programs to match our learners’ needs. For example, recent modifications in our research rotations have resulted in a dramatic increase in the academic productivity of our graduating residents and our teaching faculty. Our contribution is to the educational literature, “Innovation in Resident Education: What Orthopaedic Surgeons Can Learn from Other Disciplines” was featured in JBJS in 2017. Also, we have a multitude of innovative educational improvement projects underway.

Our dedicated leadership team and faculty group are critical to the success of our program and help ensure a high quality, individualized resident development.

Miami is an incredible place to live, work and play. We look forward to your visit in the near future.
