Support Our Initiative

Wolfson DOCS seeks support from local and national sponsors to supply our activities with the material goods we need to succeed.

Submissions for poster presentations at the Community Health Leadership Conference must be preceded by an abstract submission as part of the conference application.

All participants should submit an abstract for poster or oral presentation no later than 11:59PM EST December 23rd, 2024. Multiple students from the same institution may co-present the same abstract. Abstract submission is open to medical students of any accredited medical school. Decisions will be sent out by January 13, 2025.

Registration

  • Early-Bird: The early-bird registration will open on January 13, 2025 and the deadline will be January 27, 2025. The early-bird price will be $135.
  • Regular: The regular registration will open on January 28, 2025 and close on February 21, 2025. The regular price will be $165.

For each additional author attending the conference, there will be an $85 registration fee.

Abstract guidelines

The abstract should summarize your poster presentation topic and should focus on one or more of the following topics as they relate to your school’s student run health fairs or clinics:

  1. An overview of your school’s successful, sustainable model.
  2. A description of new or recent innovations and enhancements implemented by your program.
  3. An explanation of a recent challenge faced by your program and how the program addressed the challenge.
  4. How your program built or strengthened a community partnership.
  5. How your program links its patients with continual, sustainable care.

The typed abstract should conform to the following specifications:

  1. The entire abstract should be no longer than 500 words including title and authors.
  2. Point size 11 for normal text.
  3. All words in the title should be in bold capital letters.
  4. All abbreviations designated by code or initial letters in the title must be identified in the body of the abstract.
  5. The presenting Author’s Name (i.e. your name) should be underlined.
  6. PI (if applicable) should be listed last with an asterisk.
  7. Include the department and school or institution along with the author’s names.
  8. The abstract should contain the objective, methods, results, and conclusion of the research study.
