DOCS provides additional low-barrier clinical services at IDEA, including infectious disease screening and treatment, wound care, sexual and women’s health services, MOUD support, trauma-informed psychological care, and general health screenings.

Additional Services & Patient Support
The DOCS IDEA Clinic provides comprehensive wound care, incision and drainage of skin abscesses, HIV and Hepatitis C screening, sexual health treatment, women’s care with a focus on birth control, MOUD consultations and refills, and trauma-informed psychological care.
Beyond the clinical services, the DOCS IDEA Clinic serves as a dynamic learning environment for students. Students have the opportunity to practice their clinical skills, cultivate empathy, and provide culturally responsive, low-barrier care to patients who may face significant barriers to accessing the healthcare system.
