Facility Services

The core will provide services through the University of Miami Infectious Diseases Research Unit located adjacent to the Special Immunology Clinic and at Converge Miami, PrEP mobile clinic, Rapid Access Welness (RAW), or the IMPAACT unit.

Data Services

Upon IRB approval, data queries and data sets are available for a limited number of variables collected from patients receiving care at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital clinic facilities.

Biostatistical Support

Biostatistical support is provided by the Biostatistics Collaboration and Consulting Core (BCCC), housed in the Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Public Health Sciences and in conjunction with the Miami CTSI. UM-affiliated individuals can request this support; however, the Miami CFAR has funding to support specific projects. The Clinical Core priorities are:

  1. New pilot awardees
  2. Current pilot awardees in no cost extension
  3. Pilot awardees who have recently completed projects and need assistance with manuscript publication and/or grant preparation
  4. Other CFAR investigators on a case-by-case basis if funding is available.

The Clinical Core will review your request accordingly. Should it meet aforementioned priorities, we will forward your request to the BCCC Core along with the approval for the Clinical Sciences Core to cover the biostatistical support. The BCCC Core will reach out in order to schedule an appointment.

To request Clinical Sciences Core Services, please complete the CFAR Clinical Sciences Core Services Form
