Thank you for your interest in submitting an abstract to the 2025 UMMSM ESRF Symposium. We look forward to learning about your exciting research!
  1. Submit your abstract(s) HERE. To be considered, abstracts must meet the submission requirements listed in the form. See also “Abstract Submission Guidelines” for further details.
  2. Your abstract will be reviewed by the ESRF Executive Committee. Upon acceptance, you will be notified of the decision by email with the letter of acceptance and the scoring rubric for awards determination.
  3. The registration fee is due upon receipt of the Letter of Acceptance. Instructions on how to pay the registration fee will be provided in your letter.
  4. If, for any reason, you are unable to present at the conference, you must provide written notification with the consent of your advisor at least one month prior to the conference in order to receive a full refund.

The following categories are available for abstract submission:

  • Basic Sciences
  • Clinical Sciences
  • Public Health
  • Case Reports*

*To be considered, Case Reports must include a research component as part of the abstract and presentations. These may include: A novel diagnostic technique, a case enrolled in a clinical trial or similar study, a discussion on the recent research done in the relevant diagnosis/patient population, etc.

Research presentations will take place in the following formats:

  • Oral Presentation – 10 minute presentation, followed by a 5 minute Q&A.
  • Chalk Talk - 5-minute presentations, no Q&A. Maximum 5 slides.
  • Poster - 1 hour poster session, Dimensions: 48” tall x 60” wide.

Applicants may designate a presentation format for which they would to be considered. The Eastern-Atlantic Student Research Forum reserves the right to designate applicants to an appropriate format on a case-by-case basis.
