Message from the Directors

Research, Innovation & Scholarly Engagement Program

RISE Office was created to nurture the next generation of physician-scientists and research leaders. Our purpose is to build a culture that supports talent development, recruitment, and retention at every stage, from high school through junior faculty.

We know the path to becoming a physician-scientist can feel overwhelming or confusing. That’s why we’re here—to listen, to guide and to connect you with opportunities you might not even know exist. We want RISE to be the place you come when you’re not sure where to start. If you need help finding a mentor, exploring research, or just figuring out your next step, we’re here for you.

Our approach is simple: build bridges, not barriers. We’re working to bring programs together, foster real mentorship and make sure every student and trainee feels supported. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your research further, RISE is your home base.

Let’s build something great—together!
