Who Can Become A Donor?

Brain Endowment Bank
Anyone can become a donor. Patients with diagnosed brain disorders or unaffected healthy persons are welcome to donate.

Donated tissues from healthy individuals are just as necessary as those with neurological or psychiatric disorders. Studying a healthy brain helps scientists to understand why certain individuals age well and others are more at risk, even in the same family.

A list of accepted disorders is below. We accept disorders not included on this list. Please call us at 1-800-UM BRAIN or 305-243-6219 for more information.
