The Public Safety Department can provide jump starts to a vehicle when batteries are drained.
This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to faculty, staff, students, visitors, and patients. To request a vehicle jump start, simply call the non-emergency Public Safety Department number: 305-243-7233
Wait times average from 3 to 5 minutes, although there may be occasional delays due to unexpected emergencies.
Officers will take every precaution not to damage your vehicle. However, the vehicle owner will be asked to sign a damage waiver form prior to this service. If a vehicle owner is uncomfortable with signing this waiver, Officers can assist in contacting other vehicle service providers.
