Energy Management

Facilities and Support Services

The central energy plant currently provides 8,000 tons of chilled water and is designed to expand to provide a total of 20,000 tons.

The 49,000 SF chiller plant is located in a Category 5 hurricane resistant parking facility and will be connected to all current and future planned facilities on the campus. The entire chiller plant and a new 177,000 sq.ft. research facility are backed up by (3) 2.8 megawatt emergency generators. The electric plant portion is designed to accommodate an additional 5.6 megawatts of emergency power for a total of 14 megawatts in order to meet the future needs of our growth.

Our goal is to provide reliable chilled water, obtain lowest unit prices/Highest Efficiencies, reduce maintenance overhead and reduce redundancy while increasing overall efficiency.
