MCAT Preparation Program

To be eligible to apply, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• US citizen, US permanent resident, or DACA recipient.
• College junior, senior, master’s student, or recent college or master’s graduate (within the last two years).
• Completed at least two years of undergraduate science or pre-med coursework (must have taken Organic Chemistry).
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.2.
• Must take the MCAT Fall of 2024/Spring 2025.
• No cost for accepted students to attend.

**NOTE: Daily access to a laptop and WIFI will be required for the duration of the program.

• Application Deadline: March 1, 2024
• Decision Notification: March 15, 2024
• Program Dates: June 3, 2024 – July 19, 2024

Only COMPLETE applications will be reviewed. ALL supporting documents must be submitted by the application deadline (no exceptions). Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

• Write a Personal Statement (maximum of 400 words) explaining why you wish to participate in the MCAT Preparation Program. Be sure to highlight your personal and professional goals and personal attributes or experiences that would be deemed desirable for a career in medicine.

• Copy of government issued photo ID or university student ID card.

IMPORTANT: Letters of recommendation should be submitted on an official letterhead and at least one letter must come from a science professor. All letters of recommendation must be emailed by the recommender directly to the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement at diversityoffice@med.miami.edu by March 1, 2024, to be considered.
