Zhuoli Jin

Zhuoli Jin, Ph.D.

Biography: Zhuoli Jin is a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Miami. She received her Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, her M.A. in Statistics from Wake Forest University, and her B.S. in Mathematics from Xi’an Jiaotong University.

Her research interests include high-dimensional statistics, statistical machine learning, random matrix theory, and robust statistical inference. She is particularly interested in developing theoretically grounded statistical methods for analyzing high-dimensional and complex biomedical data, with applications in biostatistics, bioinformatics, and interdisciplinary biomedical research.

Before joining the University of Miami, Zhuoli gained research experience in both academia and industry, including work in financial risk modeling and collaborative statistical research. She also has extensive teaching experience, having served as a teaching assistant and instructor for multiple undergraduate statistics courses.

Outside of research, Zhuoli enjoys road trips, cooking, spending time with her cats, and learning about Chinese history. 

Jie Ping

Jie Ping, Ph.D.

Biography: Dr. Jie Ping is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Miami and the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Shared Resource (BBSR) at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. With a strong background in bioinformatics and genetic epidemiology, his research emphasizes the biological mechanisms, risk and prognostic factors, and racial disparities in cancers, particularly breast and colorectal cancers. Dr. Ping has been a key contributor as a bioinformatician on numerous large-scale, federally and institutionally funded research projects. Dr. Ping has contributed to many high-impact research projects and has an extensive publication record in top-tier journals.

Rebecca Irlmeier

Rebecca Irlmeier, M.S.

Biography: Rebecca Irlmeier, M.S., is a Biostatistician II at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami. She earned her M.S. in Biostatistics from Vanderbilt University and her B.S. in Biological Engineering from the University of Missouri. She collaborates with clinical and translational investigators on the design and analysis of observational studies and clinical trials, applying statistical methods to a wide range of biomedical research questions. Her research interests include clinical trial design, statistical methodology, survival and longitudinal data analysis, clinical prediction modeling, electronic health record-based research, and high-dimensional omics data. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys biking, hiking, and traveling.
