Program Application Requirements
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
- Rising undergraduate junior or senior
- Majoring in a science-based curriculum
- Strong interest in pursuing a doctoral program in biomedical sciences

Join us for an insightful SURF Informational Session on Wednesday, December 20th from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Application and Instructions
Completed online applications and all supporting documents must be submitted by the application deadline. Required materials to complete the application include:
- Two letters of recommendation emailed to surf@miami.edu. Letters should comment on work ethic, personal integrity, maturity, responsibility and motivation for improvement and learning. Letters should not be requested from family or friends.
- A copy of your curriculum vitae or resume
- A copy of your transcript(s)
- Answers to additional short answer questions downloadable via the application
Please combine all supporting materials (except letters of recommendation) into a single PDF and upload as part of your online application. Please contact us if you are unable to create a single PDF.
