Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship

Program Application Requirements

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • Rising undergraduate junior or senior
  • Majoring in a science-based curriculum
  • Strong interest in pursuing a doctoral program in biomedical sciences

Application and Instructions

Completed online applications and all supporting documents must be submitted by the application deadline. Required materials to complete the application include:

  1. Two letters of recommendation emailed to surf@miami.edu. Letters should comment on work ethic, personal integrity, maturity, responsibility and motivation for improvement and learning. Letters should not be requested from family or friends.
  2. A copy of your curriculum vitae or resume
  3. A copy of your transcript(s)
  4. Answers to additional short answer questions downloadable via the application

Please combine all supporting materials (except letters of recommendation) into a single PDF and upload as part of your online application.  Please contact us if you are unable to create a single PDF.

We will not consider incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline.
