Career Development Committee

Responsible for building connections between prospective employers and job-seeking biomedical graduate students. Provides opportunities for students to develop career-building skills, prepare for careers in academia, and engage with diverse professional fields. In collaboration with the Toppel Career Center and Dr. Ana Fiallos, organizes workshops and networking events, including internship and teaching opportunities, résumé building, and interview preparation. A key initiative is hosting the annual Career Day each spring semester.

International Students Committee

Chair: Shraddha ChandThakuri
Dedicated to supporting the unique needs of international students by fostering a welcoming environment, providing resources related to student visas, and serving as a primary liaison between the school and international biomedical graduate students.

Belonging and Inclusive Excellence Committee

Co-Chairs: Clarence Locklear and Taylor Henry
Dedicated to Fostering a graduate community where every biomedical student feels valued, supported and empowered to succeed. Guided by our values of integrity, responsibility, excellence, compassion, creativity, and teamwork. We work to cultivate an environment of belonging and inclusive excellence, develop initiatives that enhance representation and equitable opportunities, organize programs that remove barriers to success, and create educational and social events that affirm and uplift all members of the academic community.

Mental Health and Wellness Committee

Chair: Cynthia Blanco
Responsible for connecting students with mental and physical health resources, organizes community-building events, and empowers students to address mental health challenges and enhance overall well-being and academic success.

Community Service Committee

Dedicated to promoting civic engagement and social responsibility by organizing volunteer opportunities and service projects within the local community.
