Seeking patient care?
The mission of the Division of Surgical Oncology at the Miller School of Medicine’s DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery is to provide timely, expert, compassionate care to cancer patients and to advance the treatment of cancer through research and teaching.
The divisional faculty is comprised of leading surgical oncologists, each of whom is widely recognized for his or her excellence in the surgical and multidisciplinary management of cancer. All have undergone rigorous training in surgical oncology and are extraordinarily well-qualified in the specialty.
The division is part and parcel of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only university-based cancer center in South Florida. The division serves as a tertiary referral unit providing care for complex surgical oncology problems in our region, the southeastern United States, the Caribbean basin, and Central and South America. The division has earned an enviable reputation for state-of-the-art treatment of common and unusual cancers of all stages, and management of complex surgical problems related to advanced cancers and cancer treatment complications.
