Application Process

Department of Radiation Oncology

Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in physics, medical physics, engineering or a closely related field. In addition to the Ph.D. requirement, candidates must meet all educational requirements for both CAMPEP and the ABR in order to be considered and must have a CAMPEP certified Masters degree, Ph.D. degree or certificate degree. (www.campep.org).

There are two positions available in the Medical Physics Residency Program each year.

Our medical physics program participates in the AAPM Residency Common Application System (CAP) for applications to our residency. The candidates can apply through the AAPM Medical Physics Residency Application Program (MP-RAP) through the AAPM Website. The program is participating in the Medical Physics Match Program and will only consider applicants that have registered with the match program. The application deadline for the July 1st 2025 openings is December 13th 2024. Please visit the MP-RAP website for other relevant details.
