University of Miami – Jackson Rehabilitation Hospital Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Physical Therapy Residency Program

The University of Miami and Jackson Rehabilitation Hospitals jointly form the UM-JRH Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Residency Program. This year long program offers licensed physical therapists the opportunity to gain structured educational and clinical experiences in a variety of settings including critical care, acute care, and outpatient programs. The academic component of the program is completed in the University of Miami Department of Physical Therapy on both the Coral Gables and medical campuses. Clinical mentoring takes place at Jackson Rehabilitation Hospital and the University of Miami Hospital.

Mentoring is led by experienced physical therapists and board certified cardiovascular and pulmonary clinical specialists. Our program accepts 1-2 Residents per cohort with 100% first time passing rate for the ABPTS Board Certification exam. Completion rate over the past two years: 50%. One resident voluntarily withdrew from the program.
