The Miami Neonatology Conference is one of the largest and most respected international neonatal educational activities held each year. Run by the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Division of Neonatology, Miami Neonatology strives to provide medical professionals with comprehensive knowledge of the leading trends and best practices in neonatal medicine.

Miami Neonatology 2021 will be held November 15- 17, 2021. More details to come. Registration will open in Spring 2021.

The Miami Pediatric Nephrology Seminar is a unique international forum for pediatric and adult nephrologists, renal pathologists, pediatricians, pediatric urologists, transplant surgeons and other health professionals from all over the world.

Seminar has a total of 12 sessions on a wide range of topics, including Genetic/Developmental and Rare Disorders of the Kidney, New Frontiers in Pediatric Nephrology, Practical Nephrology for the Clinician, Recent Advances in Glomerular Disorders, CKD and Hypertension, Bone Disease, FGF23 and the Kidney, Dialysis and Transplant Challenges and Research and Training Initiatives. 

The three-day seminar featured a total of 19 distinguished guest faculty and 16 local faculty members. This year’s seminar had a record number of 153 participants and a record number of Trainees attend the Conference. There were a total of 16 Trainees from USA programs and 15 Trainees from abroad who were selected for Partial Travel Grants with funding support from ASPN, IPNA and NIH/NIDDK (R-13).

The Henry Gelband Pediatric Research Symposium highlights the pediatric mentored research which our graduate students, postdocs, fellows, and residents have participated in during the year.  During the research symposium includes basic science, clinical research, quality improvement, case reports, and case studies performed by residents, fellows in the Department of Pediatrics.
