Our Women’s HIV Program has been providing comprehensive health care services and research opportunities to women living with HIV since the early 1980s.  The program offers a full range of services for adolescent and adult women and is one of the largest programs of its kind in the country.  Our clinical team of maternal-fetal medicine physicians, nurse practitioners and other professional staff understand that women with HIV have specific and, sometimes, complex health care needs; and our staff is dedicated to providing access to high quality treatments and supportive services in a caring and compassionate setting.  

Services: Providing state of the art care and treatment for women living with HIV across their lifespan, the program offers the following services:

Preconception Counseling 

  • Assistance with planning pregnancies
  • Pregnancy planning for discordant couples
  • Optimizing a woman’s health before pregnancy

Sexual Health

  • Contraception (birth control)
  • HIV prevention & education
  • Screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STI)
  • HIV Testing

Obstetrical Care 

  • Low- and high-risk prenatal care 
  • Consultation with infectious disease specialists
  • CenteringPregnancy® - Group prenatal care
  • Postpartum & transitional care
  • Specially designed prenatal classes 
  • Coordination with Pediatric Infant Screening Program

Gynecological Care

  • Routine screenings and treatment 
  • Contraception & family planning
  • STI & HPV screening & treatment
  • Cervical and anal cancer screening
  • Colposcopy & LEEP procedures
  • High Resolution Anoscopy
  • Menopause management
  • Referrals for other procedures & services 
  • Walk-ins for acute gynecological problems

Financial Assistance

  • We accept Medicaid, Medicare and other insurance (call for a list of accepted insurance programs).  If you do not have insurance, we can assist with access to the Ryan White Program.
