In the Department of Microbiology our mission is 1) to perform basic biomedical research leading to breakthroughs that that translates into improving our health; 2) to train the next generation of biomedical scientists in the fields of Microbiology and Immunology; and 3) to educate Medical, Graduate, and Undergraduate students in the fields of Microbiology and Immunology.
