The HIV/AIDS and Emerging Infectious Diseases Institute (HEIDI) firmly believes in a multi-tiered approach to ending the HIV epidemic. This belief drives our enthusiastic support for various prevention and clinical research programs in the Miami-Dade area. These initiatives are designed to serve the community by conducting targeted HIV/AIDS and infectious diseases research and prevention efforts.
Through HEIDI’s support we have expanded the Mobile PrEP Program’s mobile unit fleet, opened the Rapid Access Wellness Clinic (RAW) conveniently located in the Converge building near the University of Miami medical campus, and ensured over thirty government, institutional, and sponsored initiatives have access to essential research samples.
