The HIV/AIDS and Emerging Infectious Diseases Institute (HEIDI) believes in a multi-tiered approach to ending the HIV epidemic. This is why we are enthusiastic supporters of the HIV Prevention efforts under Dr. Susanne Doblecki-Lewis, MD, founder of the Mobile PrEP Program at the University of Miami.

The University of Miami Mobile PrEP Program provides PrEP, nPEP, and STI testing and treatment, as well as HIV rapid entry into care at community sites in Miami-Dade County. All services are provided at no cost to clients, and all are welcome regardless of insurance or immigration/residency status. The program offers afternoon and evening hours at their community sites in locations such as South Beach (outside the Hotel Gaythering), Hialeah, and Liberty City.

Through HEIDI’s support the program has expanded to three mobile units and a brick-and-mortar clinic known as the Rapid Access Wellness Clinic (RAW). The clinic is located at the Converge building in the Allapattah neighborhood of Miami near the University of Miami campus. The clinic provides the same services as the Mobile PrEP Program with the same barrier-lowering approach in a convenient location to the university’s medical campus.
