Discovering effective treatments or a cure for diseases that affect the brain and cognition, such as Alzheimer’s disease, will only be achieved because of the willingness of individuals to participate in clinical research and clinical trials.
Scientists at the CNSA are hard at work to improve ways to detect early cognitive changes that may be associated with risk for loss of thinking and memory abilities. Early detection is of critical importance to make sure that emerging treatments are effective in preventing disease progression. The scientific achievements that our current participants contributed to have led to the identification of new cognitive markers of early impairment have resulted in meaningful scientific gains in the field, facilitated the specialty training of the next generation of scientists, and led to a monumental growth in our research program!
At the CNSA, we have a mission to ensure that accurate diagnosis and treatment options are available for all older adults and their families. To achieve this, we work with investigators throughout the United States and globally to study different cultural groups. All of our study programs are available in English and Spanish.
Individuals age 60 and older and younger individuals with a family history of dementia, caregivers, and healthy volunteers are called to join the CNSA to participate in our actively enrolling studies focused on Alzheimer's and other dementias.
Thank you for your partnership. Together, we will gain valuable knowledge and contribute to a world free from Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
