About Us

The Laboratory for Clinical Bioscience (LCB) at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine is an approved cost center, core laboratory and shared resource facility established in 1996. As part of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (DPLM) Research Resources, the LCB provides research support to University of Miami investigators and other academic and non-academic institutions.

The LCB is conveniently located within the University of Miami Medical Campus, DPLM on the 6th floor of The Mailman Center for Child Development, adjacent to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC).

Our mission is to offer investigators high-level expertise and guidance, from project inception to end-goals, for execution of clinical and pre-clinical research initiatives.  The LCB will help investigators identify cost-effective and efficient testing strategies to promote ongoing research, discovery, and innovation.

The LCB plays an important role in the evaluation and testing of biomarker and research diagnostic assays towards acquisition of data for publication and/or regulatory approval.

Our highly trained and dedicated staff is available 8:00AM to 6:00PM, Monday thru Friday. Weekend services can be provided as needed.
