Welcome to the University of Miami /Jackson Health System Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism training program website. Our campus, one of the largest medical campuses in the United States, is located in the “Health District” of the city of Miami and includes the Jackson Health System, the University of Miami Health System and the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical center. With over 1500 beds, JMH, our primary institution, is the only public hospital for the citizens of Miami-Dade County, the major teaching institution for the University of Miami and one of the nation’s busiest hospitals, continually ranked in U.S. News & World Report among the "Best Hospitals In America”.

The J Maxwell Mckenzie Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Miami -Jackson Memorial Hospital is a two-year ACGME accredited program that offers clinical training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. Our fellowship program combines a variety of clinical and research activities in flexible programs designed for each individual. Trainees, particularly those who are interested in pursuing an academic career, are encouraged to extend their appointments to a third year to allow for the completion of a substantial research project.
