The Miami Itch Center, directed by Dr. Gil Yosipovitch, is one of the nation’s only comprehensive, multidisciplinary clinics dedicated to the diagnosis and management of a variety of itchy conditions.

Atopic dermatitis, often called eczema, is a common skin condition that causes dry, cracked skin with occasional flares of inflamed and itchy patches on the skin. It typically appears in early childhood but can occur at any age. Eczema flares can appear as red or pink itchy patches in lighter skin tones, and more purple, brown, or hyperpigmented patches in darker skin tones. While the inflamed patches of skin are one of the most recognizable features of the condition, the most impactful symptom for patients is the intense itch that comes with the disease.
