Research Focus
Dr. Lassance-Soares’ Lab studies cellular and molecular mechanism underlying neovascularization and endothelial dysfunction, with a strong focus in translational research. Specifically, Dr. Lassance-Soares interest is to enhance angiogenesis and arteriogenesis in pre-clinical model of hindlimb ischemia. Her lab uses the combination of animal surgery with cellular and molecular biology to understand and intervene in the vascular mechanisms of peripheral vascular diseases and endothelia dysfunction. Dr. Roberta Soares is a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Surgery since 2016. She was recently awarded with career development grants from American Heart Institute and National Institute of Health.
