Biography
Dr. Prasoon P. Mohan, M.D., MRCS., is an Associate Professor of Clinical Interventional Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Mohan received his medical degree from Calicut Medical College, India and then pursued postgraduate training in the United Kingdom where he earned the Membership of Royal College of Surgeons of England. He completed his radiology residency from Saint Francis Hospital, Evanston, IL (2014), which was followed by fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from University of Miami/Jackson Memorial hospital in 2015. Since then, he has remained as a faculty in the department of Interventional Radiology at the University of Miami. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology both in Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology.
Dr. Mohan is involved in multiple human and animal trials on liver cancer treatment and fibroid embolization. His current research studies include animal trials on the use of stem cells for tissue regeneration following liver cancer ablation and a randomized controlled clinical trial on novel pain control intervention for uterine fibroid embolization. He has published numerous journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Mohan has a passion for teaching and currently, serves as the program director for the Interventional Radiology Residency. -

Dr. Mohan serves as the Program Director for Interventional Radiology Residency Programs at the University of Miami. He is deeply passionate about teaching and aims to cultivate an environment where residents develop into compassionate physicians. In his role, he strives to empower them to realize their full potential, nurturing future leaders and innovators in the field of interventional radiology. -
