Dr. Jessica G. Kumar, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Interventional Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Kumar earned her medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. She completed her residency in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/ Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.
Dr. Kumar is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology. Her research interests include minimally invasive therapies for treatment of portal hypertension and liver failure and the effect of locoregional therapies on hepatocellular carcinoma. She is also a proponent of both community and global outreach.
Dr. Kumar’s primary areas of clinical practice include interventional oncology, treatment of portal hypertension and liver failure, and musculoskeletal interventions.
