The University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Burn Center is one of the leading burn treatment facilities in the nation and the only burn center south of Tampa verified by the American Burn Association. Located at the world-renowned Ryder Trauma Center, the Burn Center provides patients with a team of burn care ranging from the resuscitation phase through long-term rehabilitation. The Burn Center comprises a state-of-the-art Burn Intensive Care Unit, a specialized surgical floor, a burn rehabilitation therapy area, a burn clinic, and a burn research laboratory.
The Burn Center provides a comprehensive team approach to the care of burn victims because of its specialized services, cutting-edge technology and team with vast training and experience in treating severe burns.
The Burn Center has been a focal point of care for thousands of patients from Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties, and from other parts of the United States, including the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. Since 1962 The UM/JMH Burn Center has been leading the way in Burn Care.
