The Division of Cellular Transplantation is a division of the Department of Surgery at University of Miami School of Medicine, and forms an integral part of the Diabetes Research Institute, a UM Center of Excellence. The primary goal of this Division is to advance therapeutic strategies based on the transplantation of living cells, alone or in combination with other tissues or organs, in order to cure human diseases.
Performing groundbreaking research each day, researchers within the division have contributed to the field with innovative cellular processes and applications. These efforts result in the consistent improvement in the quality of life of many patients who look towards cellular transplantation and the promise it holds.
