Cardiothoracic Surgery

The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in cardiac and thoracic surgery. With a legacy that predates the founding of the Miller School, the division has supported the institution’s academic, clinical, and research missions since the 1960s.
Part of the Department of Surgery, the division integrates academic medicine with high-performing clinical operations to deliver comprehensive cardiothoracic care. Our board-certified surgeons specialize in minimally invasive and complex cardiac procedures, advanced thoracic surgery, and transplantation, while advancing research and surgical education.
