The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Surgery is one of the premier cardiothoracic centers in the world. The division was established prior to the founding of the Miller School and was integrated into the academic mission of the medical school in the 1960s. Since its inception, it has earned an excellent reputation for its innovative cardiothoracic approaches, outstanding team of surgeons, and compassionate care provided to its patients.
The division of cardiothoracic surgery provides the full spectrum of cardiac and thoracic surgery services at three clinical sites; Jackson Memorial Hospital, UHealth Tower, and Miami VA Hospital.
