- Sports medicine orthopedic weekly conference (Monday 7am)
- Orthopedic Tumor Board (Tuesday 7:15 am)
- General Sarcoma Group Tumor Board (Thursday 3:30pm)
- We mentor medical students, house staff, and fellows; this includes regular participation in didactic lectures and interactive teaching sessions for medical students and residents. In addition, the faculty supervise trainee research, which is an integral component of their educational experience.
Clinical Fellowship
Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship
Jackson Memorial Hospital offers a one-year Fellowship funded by The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Miami. The University of Miami Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship offers state-of-the-art training in diagnostic radiography, MRI, CT and ultrasound. Fellows are exposed to multimodality cases in sports medicine, musculoskeletal oncology, orthopedic trauma, peripheral nerve imaging, and rheumatology.
Fellows will perform CT and ultrasound guided interventional and diagnostic procedures including arthrograms, bone and soft tissue tumor biopsies, tendon injections and nerve blocks. The service has an active Sports Medicine component with close interaction with both major league and college athletics. We are a busy tertiary referral center for bone and soft tissue tumors, with weekly interdisciplinary conferences. There are ample opportunities for research and publication.
