George E. Batchelor, a renowned aviation entrepreneur and caring philanthropist, generously established the Micah Batchelor Awards for Excellence in Children’s Health Research. This $10 million endowment, in memory of his cherished grandson, Micah, allows the Department of Pediatrics to fund up to four research awards to physician-scientists conducting research in children’s diseases.
These prestigious awards are given annually and continue to inspire the development of innovative ideas and solutions that will improve the health and well-being of children in Florida and worldwide.
