Observership/Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO)

Interventional Radiology
This learning opportunity is a subspecialty-based rotation designed for outside students in their 3rd or 4th year of medical school, senior radiology residents considering University of Miami for their ESIR/Independent IR training, or a physician in practice who wishes to enhance their fund of knowledge. This observership may also be tailored to a particular subspecialty of IR if desired.

The number of participants per month, as well as the maximum number of months the participant can attend, may vary. The participant observes their faculty mentors in the procedure rooms and clinics, at our main teaching facilities on the University of Miami Medical Campus. They also have full access to all weekly IR teaching conferences, which are provided to our residents and fellows.

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine permits a maximum visit of 12 weeks.
