Welcome to the Department of Interventional Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Our goal is to provide you with the most comprehensive interventional radiology education and training, complemented by beneficial mentoring and career advocacy.

University of Miami Interventional Radiology Interest Group (IRIG)

The Interventional Radiology Interest Group (IRIG) serves to provide University of Miami medical students with opportunities to learn about the field of Interventional Radiology. In addition, we provide students with resident and faculty mentors to help them navigate the field and application process. Finally, we attempt to facilitate research opportunities, matching students with residents and faculty for various projects. This includes clinical and research shadowing opportunities. Please contact the University of Miami IRIG for further information. Outside shadowing is considered on a case-to-case basis.

ACE MDR 969 Elective Rotation

This University of Miami fourth-year medical student course is an introduction to Vascular/Interventional Radiology and consists of intensive exposure to Vascular and Interventional Radiology procedures under the direct supervision of interventional radiologists. Electives are typically 2-4 weeks. The rotation is hosted at UHealth Tower, Jackson Memorial hospital, Sylvester Cancer Center, and Lennar Ambulatory Care Facility (attach the MDR form).
