The Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation Department of Human Genetics offers a wide array of educational opportunities for everyone from amateurs interested in the basics of genetics to graduate, post-graduate and medical students seeking careers at the very forefront of this amazing new field.

Novices can take our multi-level online course that gives a good grounding in basic genomics. Students pursuing graduate work in fields like biology may be interested in our multi-disciplinary programs that provide a firm grounding in the genetic underpinnings of a wide variety of traditional medical fields. Medical students, meanwhile, may be interested in one of the first programs in the United States emphasizing the genetic basis of many diseases and conditions.
