For over 10 years, HIHG researchers both in Miami and Indiana , and our collaborators at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio,. University of Pennsylvania and the Doheny Eye Institute (UCLA) in California have been researching AMD in the old order Amish.
With the help of Plain communities in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania, the HIHG and their collaborators hope to find answers to help or cure or successfully treat AMD.
