Dear Colleagues,
In the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare, Facilities Operations and Planning serves as a silent architect of progress for the University of Miami Health System and the Miller School of Medicine. Our work quietly shapes the environments where innovation, learning, and healing come together, transforming nearly 6 million square feet across 135 locations into spaces that revolutionize healthcare delivery and accelerate scientific discovery.
Over the past decade, we've orchestrated a symphony of expansion, composing over 750,000 square feet of visionary spaces that redefine the very essence of healthcare and research. Our masterpiece unfolds across the South Florida landscape, each new facility a bold movement in our narrative of healing and visionary progress.
Rising from the vibrant skyline of North Miami, the striking silhouette of UHealth at SoLé Mia shines as a 370,000-square-foot testament to our ambition. To the west, the expansive UHealth Doral Medical Center emerges as a 160,000-square-foot sanctuary of cutting-edge medicine, bringing the full spectrum of UHealth's expertise. At the heart of our medical campus, the Kenneth C. Griffin Cancer Research Building prevails as a 12-story monument to human perseverance, housing state-of-the-art laboratories and collaborative spaces that will accelerate breakthrough discoveries in cancer research and treatment.
These transformative projects represent not just physical expansion, but the embodiment of our commitment to advancing healthcare and research. As we stand on the brink of this exciting future, we invite you to join us in our mission to reimagine spaces and redefine service for a healthier, more vibrant community.
