Research Focus
Understanding the mechanisms regulating the differentiation of skin structures and appendages (e.g., hair follicle, sebaceous gland) is critical for developing more targeted and effective therapies for various skin and hair disorders, such as alopecia, dry skin or oily skin, inflammatory skin disorders, and non-healing wounds. Research in my laboratory uses mutant mouse models to investigate the pathobiology, and test therapeutic interventions for human skin and hair disorders.
