1. extracellular matrix and cell interactions, angiogenesis and microenvironment regulation with special interests in extracellular matrix laminins in integrin signaling in wound repair and tissue regeneration, aging and skin cancers.
   
   
2. molecular profiling of acral melanoma (AM) to identify novel deleterious genetic mutations and unique signatures of gene expressions that lead to the development and progression of the AM.
   
   
3. functions of comprehensive and alternative medicine (CAM) products in cell migration, proliferation and death and their effects on wound repair in reepithelialization, angiogenesis and matrix deposition.
