Research Focus

The overarching goal of our lab is to understand the role that lipid rafts play in cutaneous physiology and pathophysiology. We have a particular interest in elucidating the intricate mechanisms regulating lipid raft-associated changes in cytoskeletal reorganization during directional and collective cellular migration. Our lab is very interested in identifying proteomic and lipidomic biomarkers of skin diseases and is subsequently developing therapeutic strategies for treatment of acute and chronic wounds, as well as multiple inflammatory skin diseases exhibiting deregulation of lipid raft function and its associated proteome and lipidome.
