Research Focus

More than 37 million people worldwide are living with HIV/AIDS, and we’re dedicated to enhancing prevention strategies and care for those affected by HIV.

Our research focuses on bio-behavioral interventions that promote HIV risk reduction and treatment adherence in sub-Saharan Africa, South America, India, and the U.S. We’re working to discover the various factors that influence optimal health outcomes in people living with HIV.

Our areas of HIV specialty include:

  • Sexual risk reduction
  • Male medical circumcision for HIV prevention
  • Prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission
  • Adherence and engagement in HIV care
  • Substance use and mental health challenges
  • Health disparities
