My research focuses on elucidating how post-translational modifications (PTMs) and their regulatory enzymes influence genomic stability, epigenetic regulation, and disease progression, particularly in cancer. By integrating synthetic chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, chemoproteomics, and structural biology, we investigate lysine acylation and other histone modifications that shape chromatin dynamics and gene expression. Our goal is to uncover novel PTMs, elucidate their regulatory mechanisms, and develop small-molecule modulators targeting key epigenetic enzymes. Additionally, we are committed to advancing innovative protein chemical biology techniques to address fundamental biological questions and accelerate the discovery of therapeutic strategies for cancer and other age-related diseases.
