I aim to integrate chemical biology into medical education and training, teaching students how to use chemical tools to advance translational medical research. As an interdisciplinary field, chemical biology blends principles from chemistry, biology, and medical science. My teaching philosophy is to merge knowledge from these areas, making the class accessible to students from diverse backgrounds. I encourage lively discussions among students with different experiences, fostering a deeper appreciation for interdisciplinary studies and opening up new research directions.

Our research group employs methods from synthetic chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, structural biology, and cell biology to delve into the molecular mechanisms of diseases from the perspective of molecular structure and function. This aids in the development of novel small molecule inhibitors or agonists as potential strategies for treating related diseases.
