Biography
Dr. Jin is Early Stage Investigator and Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine - Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he treats patients with gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers. Dr. Jin graduated from the University of South Florida with distinctions in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and Robert A. Good Honor Society. He would then go on to finish a preliminary internal medicine internship followed by a residency in radiation oncology at Jackson Memorial Hospital. His passion for leveraging technology to find innovative answers to complex problems in clinical practice and research led to many grants and awards. His wrote his dissertation on developing a novel method to automate digital pathology analysis, has a patent pending on a mixed reality wireless ultrasound system, and was the principal investigator of a prospective digital therapeutic interventional trial in prostate cancer patients. At the Cancer Center, he aims to bring his expertise to empower patients with their own healthcare. Currently, he is focused on researching the impact that diet and exercise, things patients have the ability to change, have during the arc of patient’s journey. -
