Dr. Umesh Patel is originally from New York and is a graduate of Stony Brook University. He received his medical education in Grenada, West Indies at the St. George's University School of Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Patel returned to New York for further training, completing his residency in diagnostic radiology at Albany Medical Center where he was chief resident during his final year. After graduating from residency, Dr. Patel moved to New York City and completed a fellowship in neuroradiology at The Mount Sinai Hospital. After his training, he moved to Miami and now practices at UM as an attending neuroradiologist.
