  Dr. Subhawong is Professor of Clinical Radiology, Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology and Vice-Chair for Research in the Department of Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He received his M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2006 and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology and subsequent MSK Radiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. As a member of the UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, his research focuses on the discovery and assessment of imaging biomarkers in musculoskeletal tumors, with a particular interest in MRI. His work has been funded by the Radiological Society of North American and the Desmoid Tumor Research Foundation. He serves as a consultant on the FDA’s Medical Devices Advisory Committee, as an associate editor for the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, and on the Consulting Editorial Board for Skeletal Radiology. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, Society for Skeletal Radiology, and the International Skeletal Society.
