Biography
Teresa Maria Rosaria Noviello is joining the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Department of Public Health Sciences as a Research Assistant Professor-Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics. She has experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ceccarelli Lab within the Sylvester Cancer Center.
Noviello holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the University of Sannio, Italy, where she also earned an M.Sc. in Genetic Science and Technology and a B.Sc. in Biology. Her academic journey includes postdoctoral research positions at the University of Naples Federico II and the University of Sannio, as well as a role as an adjunct professor in Computational Biology.
Her research focuses on the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms influencing cancer immune responsiveness, with a particular emphasis on the role of non-coding DNA and RNA. In a recent publication in Nature Communications, Dr. Noviello conducted a multi-omics longitudinal analysis of advanced melanoma patients in a clinical trial, uncovering key molecular features associated with immune therapy response and resistance.
Dr. Noviello’s long-term goals involve advancing cancer immunotherapy through computational approaches, including the development of tumor maps at single-cell resolution. Her dedication to fostering collaboration between clinicians and researchers drives her commitment to translating computational findings into clinical applications.
