Biography
Dr. Tara Gavcovich is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics specializing in Pediatric Nephrology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She received her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Gavcovich then completed her Pediatrics Residency and Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital/Holtz Children's Hospital and the University of Miami Health System. In addition to caring for all types of pediatric kidney conditions, she provides targeted care in hypertension / ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and kidney transplantation. -

Research Interests
Dr. Gavcovich’s primary clinical and research interests focus on quality improvement in chronic kidney disease, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, post-transplant graft outcomes and adherence, and both acute and chronic dialysis. She is actively involved in initiatives aimed at optimizing clinical outcomes, enhancing patient adherence, and improving care models for children with chronic kidney disease. Dr. Gavcovich is also committed to education and mentorship, supporting trainees and colleagues in both pediatrics and pediatric nephrology. -
